Subject: System shutdown on multiple key cycling & flip image for rear camera.

Affected Vehicles: All variants with MY 2020 TAG Abigail's Compliance systems

Concern Description: Cycling key many times causes at times a blue screen to pop up on the display for a number of seconds. Also, when installing the default rear image was reversed in software.

Corrective Action: Inspect and, update software by process below. Fill out Campaign Form (BELOW).

Parts Information: TAG Campaign 002 kit.

Contents of kit:

  • 1.   Micro SD card with software
  • 1    Security sticker


WORK PROCEDURE

Verify campaign is needed:

  • Validate the operation of the TAG Abigail's compliance system. (Process can be supplied by contacting TAG directly or your state inspectors). If system malfunction other then the update contact TAG directly (link at bottom of page).
  • Correct firmware number can be provided by TAG.

Actions:

  1. Download the firmware file (provided by TAG).
  2. Extract the zipped directory. [Image 01]
  3. Copy the five extracted files to the base/root directory of a blank Micro SD card.
  4. Remove tamper sticker [Image 02]
  5. With system powered down, insert the Micro SD card into the side slot of monitor
  6. Power on ignition and observe the firmware update screen. [Image 03]
  7. Once the system is updated, turn ignition off and allow the unit to shut down. Once off remove card.
  8. Once restored, the unit will function as we now specify. if ignition is turned off THERE WILL BE NO CHANGE IN APPEARANCE AND OPERATION OF THE UNIT FOR THE FIRST 10 SECONDS. IF IGNITION IS RE-CONNECTED WITHIN THE 10 SECONDS, IT WILL STAY ON AND KEEP WORKING AS  DESIGNED. IF THE IGNITION STAYS OFF, IT WILL SHOW THE POWER-DOWN SCREEN AND SHUT OFF. THERE IS NO IGNITION OFF WARNING ANYMORE, JUST THE DELAY, AND IF IGNITION IS OFF FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS, SHUTDOWN.
  9. Install new security sticker
  10. Validate the operation of the TAG Abigail's compliance system.
  11. Fill out the campaign update form
