  1. General system overview

  2. Verify 2021 system
    1. To verify the system is a 2021 system version
      1. The display looks like (Image 01-02-03-04-08-09-10-11)
      2. Cameras look like (Image 05-06-07)
  3. Display does not turn on
    1. System may not have power or ground connection
      1. When ignition is on the display should either show the active camera or a standby screen.
        1. If not powered up check the fuse, the ground connection and the power connection to the vehicle
          1. Track the wire coming from the back of the display and locate the connection points for the signal wires.
    2. Using the wiring schematic listed at the bottom of this document, verify all connections are made.
    3. Verify all signals are receiving the correct ground or power.
    4. Try performing a factory reset.
    5. If problem persists contact Tech Support.
  4. Front camera does not display when door open
    1. Does the text "DOOR OPEN - FRONT VIEW" display on the screen?
      1. If YES.
        1. Track the wire coming from the back of the display and locate the connection points for the cameras. These are round threaded connectors.
          1. Swap the camera connections for the front and rear camera. This will eliminate an issue with the controller and determine if the camera and or harness could be a concern.
          2. Contact Tech Support for replacement parts
      2. If NO
        1. If the vehicle is a caravan, transit, Pacifica or other passenger car based platform; the dome light must be in the normal operating position.  The dome light triggers the door signal so it must turn on with doors open and shut off when doors closed. 
        2. Track the wire coming from the back of the display and locate the connection points for the signal wires.
          1. Using the wiring schematic listed at the bottom of this document, verify all connections are made properly. Depending on the vehicle, the trigger wire to activate the door signal color may be different.
        3. Try performing a factory reset.
        4. Contact Tech Support for replacement parts
  5. Rear camera does not display when in reverse
    1. Does the text "REVERSE ACTIVE - REAR VIEW" display on the screen?
      1. If yes.
        1. Track the wire coming from the back of the display and locate the connection points for the cameras. These are round threaded connectors.
          1. Swap the camera connections for the front and rear camera. This will eliminate an issue with the controller and determine if the camera and or harness could be a concern.
        2. Contact Tech Support for replacement parts
      2. If not
        1. Track the wire coming from the back of the display and locate the connection points for the signal wires.
          1. Using the wiring schematic listed at the bottom of this document, verify all connections are made properly.
        2. Try performing a factory reset.
        3. Contact Tech Support for replacement parts
  6. Rear camera turns on when opening the back door of the vehicle
    1. Follow the Campaign process HERE.
  7. Display turns on during reverse activation and shuts off. Some times turns on when front door opening.
    1. The power and accessory wires may have been swapped on the vehicle inadvertently.
      1. Using the wiring schematic listed at the bottom of this document, verify all connections are made properly.
    2. If problem persists contact Tech Support.
  8. Performing a factory reset.
    1. A quick factory reset can be performed by inserting a paperclip into the small hole on the front of the display on the lower left (image 12).
      1. Pressing a paperclip in the small hole, you will feel a detent button and hear a small click. Keep the button inside the small hole pressed for a minimum of 10 seconds. After releasing, you will see the system reboot.
        1. Caution not to insert into the hole on the right hand side. This is the display microphone, If your system has recording activated.
    2. After the quick reset was performed, if you are having issues still you can power cycle the unit.
      1. disconnect the power, ground and accessory wires for the controller. Leave the system disconnected for 60 seconds then reconnect.
    3. If you are still having issues, please contact Tech Support.


Wiring

2021- current style systems.

  1. BLUE
    1. Reverse trigger (can NOT activate via back door opening, only reverse signal)
      1. 12v + signal from vehicle reverse activation
  2. GREEN
    1. Door Trigger
      1. 12v + (only one door trigger is needed). Power signal from vehicle.
  3. PURPLE
    1. Door Trigger
      1. 12v - (only one door trigger is needed). Ground signal from vehicle.
  4. RED
    1. Ignition
      1. 12v + Ignition signal (on with engine on). Off when vehicle off.
  5. YELLOW
    1. Power
      1. 12v + Battery constant
  6. BLACK
    1. Ground
      1. 12v -
  7. GREY
    1.  NOT USED
  8. CAMERAS
    1. (Front-Rear) for Abigail's System
    2. (AUX1-AUX2) extra inputs for internal DVR recording.
